Support voluntary teacher-driven climate change adaptations starting in the 2024-25 school year.

Publicly Commit to Rapid Planning & Implementation of CCE

Accelerate climate and sustainability education adoption for all levels and disciplines.

Fulfill 2014 Commitment

Recommit to the district's 2014 climate and sustainability goals with updated urgency.

Restart Sustainability Committee

Empower a committee to oversee and assist climate education efforts with regular updates.

Environmental Science Option

Add Environmental Science as a mandatory or prominent alternative to Chemistry/Physics.

Fund Leadership Roles

Hire leadership staff and consultants to guide and oversee implementation.

Why This Matters

Due to the existential climate crisis and urgency to meet IPCC targets.
To address the unequal impacts on marginalized communities.
Education is key to combating climate change and empowering future leaders.
Pennsylvania lags behind in climate education standards.
No current BASD requirements for climate education exist.
